Installation

This is a part of Maestro's new project. I like it as it is, in my opinion it would make a nice artistic installation in itself. 

However, things are going to be very different soon :)

It's Etsy time

This week I visited the printer's and got some sample prints of my drawings.

And then - (drums!) - I've opened a shop on Etsy.

35 Celsius

It's been a little bit like inside of an oven here, recently. Although I enjoy warm weather, this is about 10 degrees too much, so i was glad to be able to escabe to the seaside.

It's the territory of one of the national parks - "Laulasmaa", which means "the singing land". 

This is my dress hung on the pine :)

Busy-busy Summer

July has become rather hot - socially. Every day I intend to read in bed for as long as possible, then travel to the market for some fruit and berries, bake a pie and be occupied with nothing more but reading, drawing and cooking. 

Well... I haven't managed to fulfil this program even once, yet.

Instead, I've...

...met my friends at one of our favourite cafes for a chat and a slice of pie which literally melts in one's mouth,

...visited an incredibly creative and energetic mom, whose baby looks like a Baroque angel, 

(sketched some furniture and fruit)

...did an excursion for a Russian group and made a stop for a coffee and a truffle afterwards, 

...sketched some instruments for a flashmob I'm participating in, 

...had a picnic with my family...

...on the bank of a forest lake.

Blue surfaces and red currants

Today, I've spent virtually the whole day in a cafe with two of the most wonderful women I know. The interior is in pastel colours, all sea and sand, and the desserts melt in one's mouth, and the coffee is steaming in large cups.

This one is actually from yesterday, a fastfood wrap and some dark beer. The fastfood, usually scorned, is unbelievably delicious when youäre in desperate hurry, isn't it? :)

Obsession of the season: textures.

Lately, I've been going about with my old faithful camera, gaping at saltcellars, blocking traffic to get a good shot  and snatching people's cakes from under their noses.

More is definitely coming.

Long time, no see

It's been quite some time... again.

However, I do hope I wll be able to update this blog on a regular basis (and more frequently than once a sixmonth ))). 

I haven't done any big pieces recenty, but some scrapbooking and sketching has been happening after all. 

We went for a picnic by the lake yesterday, and I almost caought a pike, first time in my life I held a fishing rod. The beast bit off the hook at a distance of precisely one metre from the bank. Applause :)

...lolled about on the beach. The water in the sea is still freezing, but when has it ever stopped me :)

...And just doodled with the shopping list, which makes the routine much more fun :)
